The Local Organising Committee of ICORS 2008 is very pleased to be able to offer a significant number of bursaries to assist students with their attendance at the conference. Each bursary will be offered to a maximum value of £250.00.

These bursaries have been made available through the generous sponsorship of ICORS 2008 by a number of societies, institutions and instrument manufacturers. For details please refer to:

Bursary applications will only be accepted from students making either an oral or poster presentation at the conference; each application will be restricted to only the lead named student author who is presenting the paper/poster.

Student applicants should submit a short up-to-date CV (250 words), together with course details and a letter of recommendation from their Supervisor at their Institution.

The Local Organising Committee, who will award the bursaries, will review all applications. Bursary applicants will be notified in writing well in advance of the conference (by mid April 2008) of the outcome of their application.

Successful applications will need to register for the conference but their bursary (total value of £250.00) will contribute to the registration fee. The balance of the bursary payment may be used to cover travel and accommodation. Claimants must provide proof of payment for any travel and accommodation which is being claimed from the bursary. The Organisers decision will be final.

Applications for a student bursary must be received before 29 February 2008.
